Support Tool I/O Conversion Tool SPT-C01

The I/O Conversion Tool SPT-C01 is a tool to assist you in replacing the ARL/AS/ASC/AIP Series pulse input type you are using with the AR Series pulse input type.

• The connection cable between the host controller and driver can be used without modification.
• There is no need to change the program of the host controller.

Note

The following restrictions apply to the use of SPT-C01.

• Please note that the AR Series differs in form factor and characteristics from the products currently used.
• SPT-C01 cannot be used as a source output controller.
• The GND for I/O signals of the host controller and driver must be common or must be able to be made common.
  When SPT-C01 is used, the GND of each product is connected.
• Open collector phase A output and phase B output are no longer available.
• Functions that were not available in the product before the replacement (functions specific to the AR Series) cannot be used. (Example: Automatic control function of electromagnetic brakes, etc.)
• The customer is responsible for complying with laws, regulations, and standards by using SPT-C01.

• In the case of a 24 VDC connection
• In the case of a 5 VDC connection
• When no DC power is supplied to the I/O signals (An external power supply of 5 to 24 VAC must be connected.)
