Servo Motor With a Built-In Battery-free Absolute Encoder

The AZX Series is equipped with the same battery-free mechanical absolute encoder (ABZO Sensor) as the AZ Series.
This servo motor is specialized for positioning and continuous operation.

  • Mechanical-Type Sensor
    Keeps position information even when not powered
  • Multi-Rotation Absolute Encoder
    Absolute position detection is possible with ±900 revolutions (1800 revolutions) of the motor shaft from the reference home position
  • No External Sensors Required

    As it is an absolute system, home sensors or limit sensors are not required.

Network Compatible Driver

The driver is compatible with EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET.
A single communication cable is used to connect the driver to the host controller, thus saving wiring.

Simplifying the Main Program via Sequence Function*

AZX Series positioning operations come with a variety of sequence functions, such as a timer setting for linked operation and during operations, conditional branching, and loop counting.
It can be set up using the support software MEXE02, which simplifies the sequence program of the host controller.

Direct Connection With a Single Cable, No Relay Required (750 W Type)

A connection of up to 10 m is possible without an extension cable. No cable relay processing is required.
The wiring process is more efficient as the power line, signal line, electromagnetic brake line, and ground wire are all consolidated into one cable.
With a degree of protection IP66 rating, it has a high dust-resistant performance and can be used in an environment where water droplets may splash on it.
