Mr. Vex! Why are you looking so proud?

  • Mr. Vex

In fact, I received an inquiry about content I just studied the other day.

  • Ms. Ori

Oh my! What kind of inquiry was it?

  • Mr. Vex

We have a customer who's looking at our latest general catalog and is using the 4IK25GN-A motor. They asked what the difference is between the 4GN25K gearhead (GN-K gearhead) they're using now and the 4GN25S (GN-S gearhead) that’s marked NEW in the catalog.

  • Ms. Ori

    So what did you say?

  • Mr. Vex

First, I mentioned that the rated life has been doubled from the previous 5000 hours to 10000 hours, reducing the need for maintenance.

  • Ms. Ori

Did you give a proper description of reason why it's doubled?

  • Mr. Vex

Of course! I talked about how strength was increased by making the bearing larger and the gears tougher and sturdier, which led to a longer the rated life!
    Then, noise reduction.
I talked how we achieved noise reduction by reducing errors in the gearhead components that cause noise and improved assembly precision!

  • Ms. Ori

    That's right! What else?

  • Mr. Vex

Lastly, I mentioned that the GN-S gearhead is an environmentally friendly product as it complies with the RoHS Directive, which prohibits the use of 10 chemical materials such as lead and cadmium.

  • Ms. Ori

As I expected, Vex! You nailed the GN-S gearhead's features! By the way, the gearhead can't move by its own, right? Did you mentioned about the motor as well?
The GN-S gearhead has the same frame size and pinion type as the GN-K gearhead.
So it can be used in combination with the 4IK25GN-A the customer is currently using.

  • Mr. Vex

Oh...I was so busy telling about the features of the gearhead that I forgot to introduce the motor...

  • Ms. Ori

Well, why don't you also tell them that the World K Series motors are RoHS Directive-compliant and have double the bearing life?

  • Mr. Vex

I agree! If you use a gearhead with a long life, the motor you use with it should also have a long life. I'll introduce the customer!
