Selecting an Electric Linear Slide/Electric Cylinder: Electric Slider EZS Series

Selection When Using a Dual-Axis Mounting Bracket

Determine which dual-axis mounting bracket meets the following conditions.

Conditions

X-Y Mounting: 100 mm for 3 kg, 0.5 s in Transport
Moving Range: X-Axis 500 mm, Y-Axis 250 mm
Center of Gravity of Y-Axis Load: (G1, G2, G3) = (30, 20, 25)
Power Supply Voltage: 24 VDC

Selection Example for Dual-Axis Mounting Bracket

(1) Select Linear Slide Combination and Dual-Axis Mounting Bracket

Confirm the electric linear slide combination from the

"Transportable Mass of Acceleration" table.
Calculate maximum absolute value using G1, G2, and G3.
Under the given conditions, since |G1| = 30 is the maximum value, refer to the Table of the Center of Gravity Conditions |Gn| ≦ 30 [mm].
Linear slide combinations that can carry a transportable mass of 3 kg with a stroke of 250 mm are as follows.

Combination 1: X-Axis: EZSM6DY-Axis: EZSM3D
or
Combination 2: X-Axis: EZSM6DY-Axis: EZSM4D

Select "Combination 1" for the smaller product size.

Products are as follows.

X-Axis
EZSM6D050AZAK
Y-Axis
EZSM3D025AZAK

Tentatively select EZSM6D for the first axis, and EZSM3D for the second axis.
The second axis stroke is 250 mm and combination pattern is R type. So, the required dual-axis mounting bracket is PAB-S6S3R025.

(2) Confirm the Acceleration of the Linear Slide

Check the acceleration from the "Transportable Mass of Acceleration" Table.
The maximum acceleration for a transportable mass of 3 kg is 5 m/s2.
